Empire Strength is a set of drawings and paintings that deals with explaining the relationship between time and acquired life experience. The medium that I have used is not as important as the visual symbols appearing on the paintings. In this process I am trying to explain that one person must construct several identities if he/she wants to succeed in building self-defence and self-confidence. What inspires me to this approach is a collection of personal experience combined with the desired. I want to explain that time plays the key role and that is why the elements in the painting may continuously gain new forms which would explain the process of getting to know oneself even better. What I want is for the observer to want to own a painting that can be developed, to the extent that the observer develops in life. The relationship here is parallel with Dorian Gray syndrome, but surrealism is allowed in this process.
